Job pursuit intention has been considered an important matter in the Information Technology industry worldwide for decades. In Thailand, since there is a significant growth in the number of technology business over the past few decades, the demand for IT workforce in the market has a steady increase as well, so that arousing IT talents’ interest and intention to pursue a job has become critical for most IT employers. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between the job seekers’ perception of recruitment and selection process of the IT company and their intention to pursue a job. In addition, employer brand image is proposed as a moderator whether it can influence the relationship between the perception of recruitment and selection process and job pursuit intention. This study examines the relationships among these variables by collecting data from IT professionals in Thailand who have ever applied the targeted IT Company. The quantitative research approach and survey-based methodology were adopted and SPSS 23.0 was used for data analysis and test proposed hypotheses. The study finds that IT professionals are more likely to pursue a job with the company when they perceive company’s recruitment and selection procedure is good and fair. Results also reveal a significant moderating effect of employer brand image on the relationship between recruitment and selection process and job pursuit intention. Overall, the findings provide a better understanding of which factors shaping job pursuit intention through important implications for the IT professionals to improve hiring process.
