Artificial intelligence is an emerging technology which has been highly discussed currently. Job disappearing caused by technology improvement will result in artificial intelligence anxiety. Thus, this research adopted questionnaire survey method to focus on companies within various industries in Taiwan that "have continued to use artificial intelligence technology" or "will use artificial intelligence technology in the future.", using environmental scanning capability and absorptive capacity as predecessors, artificial intelligence technology innovation performance as the result variant, and artificial intelligence anxiety as the mediation variant. A total of 56 valid questionnaires were collected, and most samples were from financial and insurance industry and manufacturing industry.
Data analyzed by SPSS 23 and Smart PLS 3 statistical software, the results of this study are: absorptive capacity has a significant negative effect on artificial intelligence anxiety, and absorptive capacity has a significant positive effect on artificial intelligence technological innovation performance, while other hypothesis are invalid. In addition, environmental scanning capability, absorptive capacity and artificial intelligence technology innovation performance of large enterprises are higher than those small and medium-sized enterprises, and enterprises with longer establishment time have higher environmental scanning capability than those with shorter establishment time. Suggestions made by this study are: compare with environmental scanning capability, absorptive capacity drives a more significant impact on enterprise artificial intelligence technology innovation performance. Therefore, managers should pay more attention to the absorptive capacity of organizations in the era of artificial intelligence, and continuously improve the absorptive capacity of the organization and bring more positive effects to the organization.
