A convenience sample of international students from different schools in Taiwan was invited through social media to complete the online survey. Paper-based questionnaires were also distributed. A total of 400 questionnaires were distributed, and a total of 245 of them responded. The IBM SPSS Statistics 23 was used to do the descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression. Hierarchical regression was conducted after controlling gender, oversea experience and language ability to test two hypotheses of this research. The results were summarized that Person-Environment Culture Value Fit had a positive relationship with Cross-Cultural Adaptation. Openness to Experience did not moderated the relationship between Person-Environment Culture Value Fit and Cross-Cultural Adaptation.
This study contributes to the literature on adaptation and fit of international students in the host country, culture and environment.
