國際新聞在全球化趨勢下對國人國際觀的建立甚為重要，近年來電視新聞台將國際新聞從一般新聞時段抽離出來，以雜誌型節目重新包裝。近年學者將敘事學帶入新聞學，說明新聞只是一種述說真實事件的敘事方式，是學術界的一大突破，不過報紙與電視新聞在敘事結構上仍有很大的不同，無法直接援用。因此本研究分析國際新聞雜誌節目的敘事結構，以【文茜的世界周報】作為分析對象，試圖了解與描繪出電視新聞雜誌節目敘事結構的輪廓，希望能為電視新聞敘事的學術理論釐清概念，提供後續研究繼續發展的空間。
