本文以批判性政治經濟學的理論視角出發，探討台灣漫畫文化產業的歷史脈絡與釐析當前台灣漫畫文化工業的動態形構，包括漫畫消費市場機制、出版產業組織結構分析，以及台灣漫畫出版業與國際資本主義擴張間的關係。在全球化的國際競爭態勢下，本地漫畫出版業主動促銷日本漫畫商品，使得本土漫畫創作空間狹小，很難產製出具有原創性的文化產品，而造成對日本漫畫嚴重的文化依賴。漫畫出版產業的結構困境無法由市場機制矯正，而必須以國家的公共介入的方式來加以解決，才能在全球政經情勢衝擊下健全產業體質，提升本地漫畫產製能力。

This paper pays attention to the issue of how political and economic forces interven with the developing process of Taiwan's comic industry in the view of political-economy theory.It focuses on the interplay between the specific economic organization and dynamics of the structure of comic production and consumption under the specific social and cultural context in Taiwan.The paper tries to point out the significant characteristics of Taiwan's local comic production during the different historical periods.It also uses the post-colonial discourse and concept of globalization to discuss the dominating influence of Japan's comic industry in the Asian-Pacific region on the structure of Taiwan's comic production and consumption.Finally,it discusses the way of public in tervention to rectity Taiwan's unregulated comic market system and to promote its comic products for enhancing its ability of international competitivemess.
