本研究首先透過研究者自身教學經驗的反省，對教師關懷的重要性
產生認同感，然後在關懷倫理學對關懷價值的重新肯定之下，開始教師關懷的一連串探究。本研究主要採關懷倫理學的觀點，希望能夠瞭解國中男性教師教師關懷的觀點與經驗、表達教師關懷的方式及其影響因素。最後提出促進國中男性教師關懷倫理發展的建議，以供國內關懷倫理學相關研究之參考。
本研究首先針對相關文獻作一回顧，從關懷倫理學的起源與建構開始論述，然後探討關懷的意涵與主體，進而分析關懷倫理的性別爭議。接著則分析教師關懷的方式，最後則介紹國內外教師關懷的相關研究。
透過教師訪談、教室觀察與文件分析，進行國中男性教師關懷經驗之瞭解與分析，歸納出國中男性教師複雜多變的關懷圖像關懷經驗主要，研究所得結論如下：
壹、國中男性教師對教師關懷之看法：關懷是一種雙向的、互動的感；關懷是一種自然的、本能的情懷；關懷是一組多元的、探索的行動

貳、國中男性教師向學生表達關懷之方式：
一、完全瞭解與真心接納；二、運動競技與學生培養感情
三、亦師亦友的相處模式；四、鼓勵的話語與高度的期許
五、幫助學生解決生活問題；六、靈活彈性的管理原則
七、幽默風趣的個人特質；八、勇於認錯的處事態度
九、朝夕相處的情感建立；十、噓寒問暖的日常關懷

參、在國中男性教師的關懷經驗發展中，具影響力之因素
一、求學歷程中的教師；二、個人背景影響教師關懷的認知與方法；
學生回饋增加教師關懷的動機與信念；四、教師性別對於教師關懷具有重要的影響力。

針對上述研究結論，本研究針對國中教師提出重新認識教師關懷、多元化的教師關懷及勿讓教師性別成為教師關懷的盲點等三點建議。對於後續的研究則針對研究方法論與研究內涵提出相關建議。
