隨著國際化的趨勢，臺灣外來的觀光旅遊客日益增加，以觀光旅遊小型報為例，面對眾多外來讀者的湧入，單一的語言閱讀形式已無法滿足現代的閱讀環境。因此本研究希望透過雙語應用的探究，有效的提供多元族群的閱讀方式、建立一個友善的閱讀環境。

本研究以獨立發行的雙語小型報作為研究主題。藉由文獻分析探討版式設計的元素與應用、版式設計的構成原理。從以上文獻中歸納出版式設計的編排基本要素、版式設計的構成原理，利用以上兩大原則作為案例分析之依據，並針對2010年至2016年日本發行的雙語獨立小型報進行案例分析研究。本研究以雙語編排為分析重點，從案例應用情況的數據結果可得知在編排基本要素之文字要素項目中，雙語字體的搭配和排列方向數量最高組合為主標題以中文明體橫排搭配英文襯線字體橫排、內文以中文黑體橫排搭配英文無襯線字體橫排，並歸納出主標題樣式二十種、內文樣式二十二種。而在編排構成要素中，使用最多的為多欄式網格、水平構圖、重心性視覺動線、視覺動線成因為距離因素。並從以上案例分析結果作為創作實證之依據。創作主題爲「Taichung Paper」臺中觀光旅遊雙語小型報，最後透過結論與建議，希冀提供後續設計之創作參考。

結論部分，在案例分析的研究結果得知，從相同特徵的雙語字體的搭配選用，有助於畫面的統一與和諧；而多元的雙語編排組合，能有效建立版面的靈活度。而創作結果顯示，雙語版式設計的建立同時搭配編排基本要素與編排構成原理，能有效的建構出理想的版式設計規劃，提高版面的完整性。

With the trend of internationalization, the number of foreign tourists coming to Taiwan is increasing. Take tourism tabloid for example, in the face of the influx of many foreign readers, single language reading form is unable to meet demand of the modern reading environment. Therefore, this study expects to explore the use of bilingual applications to effectively provide a reading form for multiple groups and to establish a friendly reading environment.

This study’s focuses on independently-published bilingual tabloids, and I set out to explore the applications of elements in frame design and the principles of construction of design through literature analysis above. With the two basic principles, this study summarizes the basic elements of editorial design and the principles of construction of design layout, and analyzes the cases of bilingual tabloids independently published in Japan from 2010 to 2016. This study focuses on bilingual editorial design. From the data of the cases, it can be seen that the maximum combination of bilingual typeface collocations and permutations in the basic elements of editorial arrangement is headings in Chinese Ming typeface of horizontal cross and Serif of horizontal cross and texts in Chinese Hei typeface in horizontal cross and English Sanserif typeface, and sums up twenty styles of the main title and twenty two styles of the text. In the elements of editorial arrangements, the column grid system, horizontal layout, center of eye movement, and eye movement causes as distance factors are used most. The above case study results are the basis for empirical creation titled "Taichung Paper", which is a small-scale bilingual tourism tabloid, and ultimately we expect the conclusions and recommendations can be references for design in the future.

In the conclusion the findings of the case study are that selection of the bilingual typefaces of the same characteristics contributes to the unity and harmony of the page; diverse bilingual editorial combinations can effectively establish the flexibility of the layout. The results of creation show that the establishment of bilingual layout design collocating with the basic elements of the editorial arrangement and principles of construction can effectively build the ideal layout plan to improve the integrity of the layout.
