  • 本研究旨在探討雙胞胎母親從孕期到產後哺育雙胞胎的壓力來源與社會支持,透過母親自述,建構出雙胞胎母親從懷胎至生產、育兒的心路歷程。希冀透過質性研究中共構、解構和重新建構的「敘說研究」,了解雙胞胎媽媽從孕期開始的孕期壓力、育兒的親職壓力,以及尋求的社會支持。
    研究對象為三位撫育雙胞胎的母親,雙胞胎的年齡都介於四歲到五歲之間,研究者事前擬定訪談大綱,由研究參與者敘說個人生命故事,並以質性研究中的敘事研究方法進行分析。
    研究結果發現,(一)雙胞胎媽媽可尋求支撐信念以度過難捱的孕期,並在第三孕期後需開始注意身體狀況。(二)雙胞胎媽媽的親職壓力來源眾多,照顧雙胞胎往往令媽媽分身乏術、心神俱疲,但若能有配偶支持或能調整自我心態,較能化解困境,改善親子關係或夫妻關係。(三)雙胞胎媽媽通常需要協同照顧者一同撫育雙胞胎,其所需的社會支持類型以父母共親職最優先,其次選擇和雙胞胎媽媽的教育理念相近為佳。

    This study was to discuss the origination of stress and understand how social supports worked, from pregnancy to postpartum breastfeeding, for twins’ mothers; in addition, to construct the course of internal struggle from pregnancy to parenting by their self-narrative. Through the co-constructing, deconstructing and reconstructing process in narrative approach, qualitative research to comprehend the pregnancy stress, parenting stress and what social supports have these twins’ mothers been sought.

    The research subjects were three twins’ mothers while the age of their twins were all between four to five years old. An interview outline was prepared in advance and narrative approach, qualitative research, was introduced for analyzing after the self-narrative by the participants.

    The findings of this study are: 1. Mothers of twins would seek for supports and beliefs to get through the pregnancy difficulties; especially they need to pay more attention on their physical condition while the third trimester starts. 2. Taking care of twins often makes mothers exhausted due to significant and diversified sources of parenting stress, however the difficulties could be minimized and parent-children, spousal relationship could be improved on condition of spousal support or own mentality adjustment. 3. Twins mothers usually need supportive caregivers to co-raise the twins due to heavily pressure and workload. Parents’ co-parenting would be the best social support, and personnel with comparable upbringing philosophy would be the secondary best option.
