  • 本研究主要在探究台灣地區中等學校學生間,是否因其「家庭收入」與「居住地區都市化程度」的不同,而在「資訊科技接近使用」、「資訊內容接近使用」、「資訊素養」等三層面上,存在著「數位鴻溝」的差距現象。本研究之目的包括:(一)探討「數位鴻溝」的意涵,以及相關的影響因素;(二)探討「數位鴻溝」與資訊社會中權力、社會階級、資訊差距間的關係;(三)瞭解台灣地區中等學校學生間,「數位鴻溝」差距現象的存在與否;(四)分析台灣地區中等學校學生間,「數位鴻溝」差距在資訊社會中的意涵。故本研究採取文獻分析法與調查研究法(於網際網路施測),以達成研究目的。
    研究主要發現:
    壹、中學校學生的電腦網路使用狀況與一般社會人士的使用狀況不盡然相同。中等學校學生在資訊科技接近使用狀況上,與一般社會人士的使用趨勢大致相同;在資訊內容接近使用型態上,則與一般社會人士之使用型態相異;在資訊素養的程度上則普遍不高。
    貳、數位鴻溝的差距現象存在於台灣地區中等學校學生間。家庭收入、居住地區都市化程度的差異,影響及資訊科技接近使用狀況、資訊內容接近使用型態,以及資訊素養的程度。
    參、 台灣地區中等學校學生間的「數位鴻溝」差距,有因襲社會結構不平等的傾向。
    依據本研究之發現,提出以下建議:
    一、數位鴻溝的消彌應為當前教育體系邁向數位資訊化過程之要務;
    二、「數位鴻溝」的消彌應兼及教育體系和整體社會體系;
    三、以「資訊均等」的理念消彌數位鴻溝;
    四、加強、持續提升學校資訊基礎建設的普及與完備;
    五、增加對弱勢學生資訊相關設備與費用的補助;
    六、建立多元化的網際網路使用地點;
    七、落實資訊教育,普遍增強資訊素養能力的培育;
    八、安排資訊搜尋的機會,提高運用網路搜尋資訊的機會;
    九、安排於網路中搜尋不同資訊類型機會;
    十、提升批判反省思考能力。
    對於後續的進一步研究,本研究也提出以下建議:
    一、 充實「數位鴻溝」構念內涵以及相關理論的發展;
    二、 充實「數位鴻溝」相關因素之研究;
    三、 拓展研究對象之範圍;
    四、 加強數位鴻溝消彌之道的探究;
    五、 研究方法多元化;
    六、 兼採「共時性」與「歷時性」的研究。
