本研究旨在藉亞洲象「林旺」展示場域，調查遊客參觀後對大象的保育態度及對大象各項訊息感興趣的程度，並檢驗可能影響大象保育態度的遊客屬性，及初探展示可能影響遊客的態度面向。研究工具採用大象保育態度問卷，內容以態度三成分：情感、認知及行為傾向為結構來設計，並含有興趣程度問項。對象為一般遊客。經統計分析，所得重要結論如下：

1.整體而言，參觀遊客對大象持正面的保育態度，但保育的行為傾向卻趨於保守。
2.對大象訊息感興趣的程度上，大致以大象生態及保育訊息相對較高，動物認養及大象個體相對較低。
3.保育態度的情感、認知及行為傾向此三成分間彼此呈現顯著的正相關。
4.初步顯示情感成分受本展示影響的程度較其他成分高。
5.遊客屬性中，「與林旺合照」會影響對大象的保育態度，但應視為個案；其他如「性別」、「參加過生態環保相關課程」、「參加過生態環保相關民間團體」三項亦會影響對大象的保育態度。
