    本研究目的是調查台灣地區中小學英語教師對於使用網路於教學之態度、實際使用情形、以及所需要的協助。
    共有九十位英語老師填答作者自編之研究問卷。國小、國中、高中各三十位。在填答問卷當時,九十位英語老師皆在大學或研究所在職進修與英語教學相關課程或學位。
    調查結果顯示:九十位英語老師都已具備基本的電腦與網路使用技能,對於融合網路上豐富的資源於課堂教學也都抱持開放歡迎的態度。但是,卻只有少數的老師曾經實際嘗試使用網路資源來教學。對於融合網路資源於教學,英語老師們可說是觀念開放,作風保守。
    根據調查結果,作者提出二點建議:第一、教育當局應提供英語老師更多實用性的研習,實際示範如何將網路融入英語教學。第二、英語師資培訓課程中應加入與網路融入英語教學的理論與應用相關課程,以期未來的英語老師都能具備應用網路於英語教學的能力。

    Abstract
    The present study aims to investigate (1) the perceptions of senior high, junior high and elementary school English teachers of integrating the Internet into their English teaching, (2) the uses of the Internet by these teachers, and (3) the assistance English teachers need to prepare integrating the Internet into their teaching.
    The subjects were 90 English teachers, from elementary, junior high and senior high schools in Taiwan, taking in-service enrichment programs in different institutes while they were investigated. The data were collected through a questionnaire designed by the author.
    The data show that 90 English teachers all have basic computer and Internet skills and a positive attitude toward integrating the Internet resources in their teaching. However, only few teachers have tried to integrate the Internet into their teaching.
    Two implications are drawn from this study. (1) More practical trainings or workshops about the incorporation of the Internet in EFL teaching in Taiwan are needed for in-service English teachers. (2) The theories and practice of the integration of the Internet in EFL/ESL teaching and learning should be introduced in pre-service English teacher education.
