近幾年來,WWW(World Wide Web)已經在網際網路上扮演了一個極為重要的角色。WWW盛行之前,使用者須藉由網際網路上各種不同的應用工具去查詢及抓取所需的資料,如今WWW確實提供了一個既能用來瀏覽資料,也同時可以用來抓取資料的統一友善環境。然而面對這友善環境,使用者仍然必須面對一些問題,如:接受"dangling links"的情況發生、憂心較低的安全性及資料保密性、忍受搜尋引擎找到不合適的資料...等。對於目前WWW上的這些問題,許多研究學者正努力地從各個不同方向來切入,同時提出新的方法來改善。
我們在使用WWW環境與了解各研究者提出的方法過程中,我們發現了目前大家所採用的URL(Universal Resource Locator)網址觀念,是一些問題 發生背後的關鍵或相關原因。本論文重新審視URL的意義,並提出全盤性的新 觀念與應用,不但解決了一些既存的問題,也開發了一些全新的應用領域。首先,我們提出了虛擬網址(Virtual Universal Resource Locator,VURL)的設計,在不用改變現有WWW的環境條件下,可以解決"dangling links"的問題。之後,我們引用VURL的觀念,提出了『網址等於ID』的新構想。此新構想的應用提供了一種方便、簡易的WWW ID認證服務。最後,我們提出了『加 強型瀏覽模組』(Enhanced Browser Model)的架構與設計,來改善搜尋引擎找到不合適的資料的問題。
WWW (Word Wide Web) has been playing an important role on the Internet in therecently years. Before its prevalence, the user has to search and download what they need via different application tools on the Internet. Now WWW actually provides a unitary friendly environment to browse and download data. Within this friendly environment, however, the user still has to suffer some problems like the occurrence of "dangling links," comparatively lower safety and security of data, improper data the search engine finds. Many researchers have been trying to address these problems of WWW from various perspectives and they propose many new solutions. In the process of using WWW environment and understanding proposals of these researchers we find the widely adopted URL (Universal Resource Locator) address concept to be the key or relevant reason to these problems. This thesis re-estimates the meaning of URL, and proposes a new full-scare concept and application, which will both solve some existent problems and open up brand new fields of application. First, we propose the designing of VURL (Virtual Universal Resource Locator), which can solve the problem of "dangling links" without changing the existent WWW environment. Then, we develop from VURL a new concept that a web address is its ID. This new idea provides a convenient, simple WWW ID authorization service. Finally, we propose the constitution and designing of Enhanced Browser Model to improve the capability of the browser to find proper data.
