To business groups facing the trend of internationalization in Taiwan, one of the most crucial issues for their operation is to pursue growth and development through internationalization. In the process of internationalization, the combination of resources and capabilities will affect the growth and development of the business group. Especially the resources and capabilities based on the internal network relationship including the core company and the constituent companies.

This study conducted empirical examination based on top 200 business groups in Taiwan and used a hierarchical regression to test three hypotheses. Therefore, this study took governance mechanism, including “ownership control”, “resource sharing” and “vertical exchange relationship”, to build up the interaction of the internal network relationship and evaluate the impact on internationalization of the business group. Finally, this study concludes with the resource sharing behavior in the business group, and provides suggestions for Taiwanese Business Groups in the process of internationalization.
