There is potential utility for the science learning through the use of board games. If science board games can be developed and be used well, it will be helpful for the diversification of science education. Based on the composition of science board games, the structure of science knowledge and the science model, this study systematized science board game and developed an design programme of science board games for learning science knowledge. The result proved that the science board games developed by design programme were effective. Additional, the design programme could apply in practice. This study also developed an extended design model of science board games to extended the utility of science board games for improving scientific competence, such as attitudes, inquiry and scientific skills. Through the result of this study, it shows that the X-science board games which developed by using the design model can extended the effectiveness of science learning. The design model can also be applied to the practical design.
