十六碳六銠[Rh6(CO6)16]與含磷雙牙配子Ph2P(CH2)2PPh2(dppe)及三牙配子CH3C(CH2PPh2)3、HC(PPh2)3和PhP(CH2CH2PPh2)2經由熱裂法反應可產生[Rh6(CO)10(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)3](1)、[Rh6(CO)13CH3C-(CH2PPh2)3](2)、[Rh6(CO)13HC(PPh2)3](2a)、[R6(CO)13PhP-(CH2CH2PPh2)2](2b)及[Rh2(CO)4(O2PPh2)2]n(3)等五個配位化合物；其中(1)、(2)、(3)已由X射線單晶繞射獲得晶體結構，(2a)和(2b)則由紅外線光譜預測其結構。
暗紅色晶體(1)為三斜晶系，空間群P1，a=14.975(6)A，b=15.470(7)A，c=19.733(9)A，α=90.17(4)°，β=96.87(3)°，γ=104.28(3)°，最後Rf=0.060(5767個繞射點)。分子仍保有六銠金屬簇的基本架構，其中六個末端談基被三個dppe配子中的六個磷原子所取代。
暗紅色晶體(2)為單斜晶系，空間群P21/n，a=12.129(1) A，b=22.749(2)A，C=20.120(3)A，β=98.18(1)。，最後 Rf＝0.028(6264個繞射點)。分子保有六鈍金屬簇的基本架構，其中三個末端談基被三牙配子CH3C(CH2PPh2)3的三個磷原子所取代。
深橘紅色晶體(3)為三斜晶系，空間群P1，a=11.457(1)A，b=12.475(2)A，C=12.909(1)A，α=106.47(1)°，β=109.39(1)°，γ=90.80(1)°，最後Rf=0.024(4818個繞射點)。為一線型的聚合物分子。
Hexadecacarbonylhexarhodium [Rh6(CO)16] reacts with phosphine ligands to give the compounds [Rh6(CO)10(Ph2PCH2- CH2PPh2)3](1), [Rh6(CO)13CH3C(CH2PPh2)3](2)and [Rh2(CO)4(O2PPh2)2]n(3). These complexes have been characterized by infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis and 31P-NMR, and structurely determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies.
The dark-red crystal of (1) crystallizes in triclinic, space group P 1, a=14.975(6)A, b=15.470(7)A, c=19.733(9)A, α= 90.17(4)°, β=96.87(3)°, γ=104.28(3)°, final Rf=0.060 for 5767 observed reflections. The molecule contains an octahedral hexarhodium cluster, with a mean Rh-Rh bond length of 2.796(3)A, The molecule bears four capped and six terminal carbonyl ligands, with three dppe molecules bridging pairs of adjacent metal atoms (mean Rh-P 2.327(6)A). Thus each Rh atom is connected to one phosphorous atom, one terminal carbonyl and two capped carbonyl ligands.
The dark-red crystal of (2) crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P 21/n, a=12.129(1)A, b=22.749(2)A, c=20.120(3)A, β= 98.18(1)°, final Rf=0.028 for 6264 observed reflections. The molecule contains an octahedral hexarhodium cluster, with a mean Rh-Rh bond length of 2.7891(8)A. There are four capped and nine terminal carbonyl ligands, with the tridentate phosphine ligand capped on one of the triangular faces of the Rh6 octahedron.
The deep-orange red crystal of (3) crystallizes in triclinic, space group P l, a=11.457(l)A, b=12.475(2)A, c= 12.909(1)A, a=106.47(1)°, β=109.39(1)°, γ=90.80(1)°, final Rf=0.024 for 4818 observed reflections. This molecule is a polymer.
