  • 本研究旨在探討社會企業在泰國東北部小規模稻農扶貧中的組織效能。並探討社會企業通過運營實現組織扶貧的挑戰和障礙。這項研究目的是更深入地了解社會企業組織為泰國社會帶來的變化,特別是在改善窮人的生活質量方面。

    以個案研究方法來更深入地了解泰國稻米社會企業。透過深入訪談以進行研究,其中案例為目前正與泰國東北部重點地區的稻農合作之四家稻米產業社會企業的案例研究。另外關社會企業的有效性研究是被用作本研究之分析工具。

    本研究結論表明,社會企業在泰國東北部小規模稻農為可能的扶貧模式之一。通過參與,教育和投資農民,加強組織的運作和管理,社會企業在貧困問題和可持續發展的環境中顯示出明顯的變化。但社會企業在保持財務和社會平衡的情況下經營,面臨著一些挑戰。本研究指出了影響企業效益的幾個變量,以便更好地理解社會企業向社會提供助益。

    This study examines to explore the organizational effectiveness of social enterprises in poverty alleviation for small-scale rice farmers in the northeastern of Thailand. And to explore the challenges and obstacles of social enterprises in achieving organization’s purpose of poverty alleviation through business operations. The general purpose of this study is to bring a deeper understanding of what social enterprise organizations are bringing on change to Thai society, especially in terms of improving the quality of life for the poor.
    The qualitative research approach has been chosen in order to get a deeper understanding of the social enterprise. In-depth interviews will be use to conduct the study, which will include case study methods and the choosing of four rice industry social enterprises that are currently working with the rice farmers in the focusing area of Northeastern Thailand to be the case studies. Several studies on an effective social enterprise have been applied as tools for analyzing.
    The main conclusions show that social enterprise is one of the possible poverty alleviation model for small-scale rice farmers in the north-eastern of Thailand. By engaging, educating and investing in farmers and strengthening its organization operation and management, social enterprises have created a positive change in poverty issue and a sustainable environment. Social enterprises have face several challenges by operating under the circumstance of keeping balance in both financial and social returns. Several variables effected the enterprise effectiveness have been pointed out for the purpose to provide a better understanding in the change of social enterprises are providing to society.
