  • 本研究旨在檢討國民中小學現行教科用書(含教科書、教師手冊、
    學生習作)物理屬性(含出版規格紙張、開數、字體、行字距、整體性
    出版及審查單版面編排及印刷裝訂品質)之適切性,並提出改進建議,
    作為教科用書出版及審查單位規劃及改進未來教科用書物理屬性之參考
    。本研究主要透過文獻探討、問卷調查及專家座談完成。問卷調查方面
    主要調查對象為台北縣市國民中小學教師。所獲致結論如下:
    一、在不考量價格下,審定本教科用書整體印製品質及出版規格較優於
    統編本教科用書。
    二、有編輯出版經驗之教師對教科書品質的要求高於無編輯出版經驗之
    教師。
    三、國中教師手冊及國小教學指引整體印製品質有待提昇。
    四、在各類教科用書中以教科書現行使用之紙張品質最高。
    五、國中小各類教科用書封面之耐用性均有待提昇。
    六、目前再生紙的品質仍不適於印製教科用書。
    七、國中小各科教科用書之開數有必要加以統一。
    八、開數大小的決定應考慮到學童荷重與整理上的方便性。
    九、除國語、國文科外,對於字體種類選用應給予更大的彈性空間。
    十、需留書寫空間時,應配合學童手寫字體大小的需要。
    十一、分欄之編排方式應注意欄間距之適切性。
    十二、同科各冊的編排方式應有其一致性,國小部分需特別注意因應各
    年齡層年級別之需要。
    十三、圖片的選用應以發揮教育的實質意義為優先考量,並以有利印刷
    為主。
    十四、現行統編本承印制度下印刷品質不穩定,應謀求改善。
    十五、現行教科用書採平釘之裝訂方式需加以改良。

    The purpose of this study was to investigate the
    appropriateness of and the ways to improve the physical
    properties of the textbooks (comprised student book, teacher
    handbook, and student practice), used in the primary
    and lower secondary schools in Taiwan. The physical
    properties investigated in this study were divided into two
    categories:(1) publish form, including paper type, page size/
    format, typeface, line-word space, entire printed page
    editing; and (2) printing quality, consisting of printing and
    binding quality. Employing literature review, questionnaire
    survey, and expert conference, the following conclusions were
    made:
    1.When the cost is ignored, the physical properties of
    commercial textbooks are better than those of
    governmental textbooks.
    2.Those teachers having edition experiences claim higher
    textbook quality than those who have no edition experiences.
    3.The quality of all teacher handbooks should be improved.
    4.Among the three categories of textbooks, the student book's
    paper quality is the best.
    5.The cover of all textbooks should be improved.
    6.The quality of current recycled paper is unsuitable for
    textbooks.
    7.The page size/format of a variety of textbooks should be
    more unified.
    8.When consider textbooks' page sizes, the carry load and
    storage convenience for students should be concerned.
    9.Except that in the subject Chinese, the typeface currently
    used in textbooks may be varied.
    10.Writing space in textbooks should meet students'needs for
    hand-writing.
    11.Textbook editors should pay more attention to the column
    space.
    12.The layout of all volumes of textbooks for the same
    subject should be consistent.
    13.When adopting pictures and photographs, pedological
    concers and printing possibilities should be firstly
    considered.
    14.The printing procedures of current governmental textbooks
    should be managed to seek more stable quality.
    15.The current textbook binding technique should be improved
    to promote fastening safety and reading convenience.
