台灣已邁入高齡社會,在2029年老化指數會高達200,即65 歲以上人口將達0-14 歲人口的2倍。如何讓高齡者成功老化及其相關因素之探究,是台灣社會極需關注且積極應對之議題。因此本研究以「多元運動課程」之介入,探討其影響高齡者功能性體適能的成效。研究方法採單組前後測,招募16位65歲以上的高齡者 (平均年齡為74.6歲),實施為期8週,每週2次各90分鐘的多元運動課程,每次課程由專業授課教師於健身房中進行教學。資料利用描述性統計及相依樣本t檢定進行分析,以比較受試長者的功能性體適能,在前測與後測數據之差異。研究結果發現: 受試長者在左右手握力及五次坐站測驗,因8週多元性運動介入之後能有效提升,但對於平衡力的表現則無顯著的影響。二、全程出席和無法全程出席的受試長者,在左右手握力與五次坐站測驗同樣呈現改善效果。據此本研究的結論為: 從事多元性運動訓練,即便是短期只有8個禮拜,可有效改善長者的功能性體適能,包括疑似有肌少症風險的長者;本研究結果盼能作為從事銀髮族健康、運動事業之相關單位,在規劃高齡者運動課程時的參考,進而有效廣泛地推行多元性運動的概念。
Taiwan has become a country with an Aged Society. By 2029, Taiwan's aging index will reach 200, meaning that the senior population will be twice as much as the young population. There is an urgent need to support seniors to have a successful aging process in an aged society. This study aimed to examine the effect of multiple component exercise on the functional fitness of the elderly. A total of 16 participants aged over 65 years (average age was 74.6 years). The functional fitness tests were conducted before and after the program. The design of multiple component training program was the 90-minute class, twice a week for eight weeks. The class was conducted by a professional training coach in the gym environment. The exercise instructions including the safety were provided before the beginning of the class. The descriptive statistics and paired t-test were used for the data analysis using SPSS 23.0. After 8 weeks of multiple component exercise training, the results showed that both grip and lower body strength had significant improvements, and no differences in balance. In addition, regardless of attending frequency, both grip and lower body strength was improved.
Conclusion: The multi-component exercise, even though the training time is short like eight weeks, can improve the functional fitness of seniors including those with suspected risk of sarcopenia. The results of this study may serve as the references for relevant units engaged in the health and exercise business of the elders. The concept of multiple component exercise can be promoted effectively and widely.
