This thesis analyzed the knowledge acquiring and friendship networks of technology coordinators at junior high schools in Taipei County using social network analysis. Data was collected from fivety-eight technology coordinators at junior high schools in Taipei County. Data were analyzed by UCINET6 software. The following findings were revealed from the social network data. (1) the size and density of hardware knowledge acquiring network are larger than other knowledge acquiring networks. These result indicated that school technology coordinators can get some help when they encounter hardware problems (2) the size, density, and reciprocity of friendship network are larger than those in knowledge acquiring networks. These results indicated that school technology coordinators interact more and tighter in friendship network. (3) the correlation between knowledge acquiring network and friendship network is significant. (4) the seniority (years as coordinators) of school technology coordinators has significant associations with the size, in-degree centrality and out-degree centrality of knowledge acquiring network and friendship network. (5) the frequency of inservice-training has not significant relationship with knowledge acquiring network and friendship network.
Future research might focus on brokages and structural holes to identify key actors and related factors.
