  • 本研究旨在透過臺北市國中校長與其三個主要參照團體(訓導主任、衛生組長及護士),來辨析國中校長在推動學校衛生工作上所應履行的角色職務,與履行其角色所應採取的行為方式,並瞭解其實際的表現。最後,提出建議,俾供國中校長角色行為之參考。
    本研究之研究對象為臺北市國民中學校長、訓導主任、衛生組長以及護士,依教育部統計處八十四年十月所彙編之各級學校名錄,臺北市國民中學共有66所(共包括有263人)。本研究以自編之「臺北地區國民中學校長學校衛生工作角色之調查問卷」為研究工具,採用問卷調查法,共得有效問卷217份。
    本研究所得結果如下:
    (一)在推動學校衛生工作上所應履行職務之期望中,有六成表示其重要性達50%以上者,共有三十六個項目。在實際履行職務的情形,校長自覺其實際履行職務有二十八項;訓導主任認為三十項;衛生組長認為十五項;校護則認為只有六項。
    (二)四個工作領域上,對校長皆有相當高的期望。依序為「健康環境」、「健康服務」、「健康教學與活動」及「行政組織與職繫」。實際履行職務上,以「健康環境」和「健康服務」為校長較常履行的工作領域,而較不常履行的領域為「健康教學與活動」及「行政組織與聯繫」。
    (三)對所應履行職務的期望與實際間之遵從期望的情形,以「健康環境」滿意度最高,而「健康教學活動」及「行政組織與聯繫」滿意程度較低;四種職別間,以校長對自己的滿意最高,校護最低。
    (四)四種職別對校長所應表現「倡導」行為的期望都很高。以國中校長與校護差異最大。校長所應表現「關懷」行為上,顯示四種職別均期望國中校長表現高「關懷」行為。以國中校長與校護差異最大。實際「倡導」行為方面,國中校長認為自己「經常」表現「倡導」行為,其他三種職別人員則認為其「偶爾」表現「倡導」行為。就「關懷」行為方面,校長與訓導主任認為國中校長「經常」表現「關懷」行為,其他二種職別則認為其「偶爾」表現「關懷」行為。各職別間之差異以校長、訓導主任與衛生組長、校護之間,以及衛生組長與校護間達顯著性。
    (五)在領導行為之期望與實際間之遵從期望上,顯示在校護的知覺裏,國中校長所實際表現的領導行為,距離其所期望的水準甚遠。表示四種職別中,以校護對於國中校長所實際表現的領導行為,感到最不滿意。就其差異上來說,四種職別人員在理想期望與實際察間的差異,皆達顯著性。

    This study aimed at, by comparing the principals and three other groups: directors of the student affairs, health coordinators and school nurses, analyzing the role that a principal of junior high school should play in carrying out school health programs and his pertormance in theory and in practice. The recommendations were provided at last to be considered for the role of a junior high school principal.
    The subjects at the present study were the principals, directors of the student affairs, health coordinators and nurses of junior high schools in Taipei city. According to the statistic report of the Ministry of Education in October, 1995, there were 66 junior high schools (totally 263 people) in Taipei city. A qusetionnaire entitled “The Role of School Health Played by the Junior High School Principals in Taiper city” was designed as the instrument. The final available questionnaires were 217.
    The main results of this study are as the following:
    1) On the expectation for what one should do in carrying out school health programs, 60% of the subjects thought the importance for 36 items was higher than 50%. In the real situation about executing the job, there were 28 items for these the principals themselves consider they do, 30 items for the directors of the student affairs 15 for the health coordinators, and only 6 for the school nurses.
    2) In the four fields of a school health program, the principals were highly expected to be responsible for them. The sequence of the fields was healthful environment, health service, health instruction and activities. and administrative organization and corodination. In practice, the first two fields were what the principals often do, while they do less for the other two.
    3) For the expectation of one's job and the practice of doing one's job, the most satisfactory fields was healthful environment and the less satisfactory fields were health instruction and activities and administrative organization and coordiantionl. It was found that the principals were most satified with their own performance, while the school nurses were most dissatisfied among these four positions.
    4) The four groups expressed high expectation for what the principals should do in initiation. Most signification difference was found between the principals and school nurses. Also, for what the principals should show his/her consideration, it showed that the four groups all expect the junior high school principals perform high consideration. Again, most signification difference was revealed between the principals and school nurses. The principals viewed themselveds“often”perform actual initiation but the other three groups thought they just do it “sometimes”. At the aspect of consideration showing, the principals and directors of the student affairs considered“often”show their consideration while the other two gorups indicated that they“sometimes”do it. Significant difference was found between the principals and directors of the student affairs, coordinators and school nurses.
    5) For the expectation of and compliance with the leading behavior of the principals, it was found that the school nurses thought that the principals' leading behavior was far from what they expect. In ohter words, the school nurses were dissatisfied with the principals' actual leading behavior. The difference between the expectation and observation of the leading behavior of the principals among the four groups was significant
