本研究主要目的在探討不同身體活動量及有無規律靜坐在睡眠品質上的差異,使用匹茲堡睡眠品質量表(PSQI)與七日身體活動回憶調查表為研究調查工具,以台中市三家精舍之禪修班學員為研究對象,平均年齡42.86±9.85歲,將樣本人數470人,以描述統計分析各相關資料,並依不同身體活動量及有無規律靜坐狀況分組,以身體活動量的平均數以上和以下分為高METs和低METs組,將靜坐年資一年以上,每週靜坐三天以上,每天二十分鐘以上者分為有規律靜坐組,未符合者分為無規律靜坐組。以二因子變異數分析進行統計處理,統計顯著水準定為α=.05。結果發現:
一、禪修班學員其睡眠品質得分介於0~20分,睡眠品質良好者佔53%,而睡眠品質差者佔47%,整體的睡眠品質平均得分5.76±2.94分。
二、主觀認為靜坐後身心狀況,「變好」的佔77.5%,靜坐後睡眠品質「變好」的佔70.5%,大多數的受試者認為靜坐可以改善身心狀況及睡眠品質。
三、不同身體活動量在整體睡眠品質上未達顯著差異,但在睡眠品質構成因素方面低身體活動量組比高身體活動量組有較佳的睡眠效率。
四、有規律靜坐組在整體睡眠品質、主觀睡眠品質、睡眠潛伏期、睡眠困擾及白天功能障礙優於無規律靜坐組。
本研究發現規律靜坐者有較佳的整體睡眠品質,而身體活動量對禪修者的睡眠品質則沒有影響。
The purpose of the study was to compare the differences in sleeping quality (SQ) between the subjects with varied physical activities (PA) and meditation levels. There were 470 subjects (The average age was 42.86±9.85 yrs old) at 3 Zen meditation centers who were invited to conduct the questionnaires, including Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scale. The PA of the subjects that higher or lower than average were classified as high PA (HPA) or low PA group (LPA). The subjects being meditated more than one year, 3 times a week, and at least 20 minutes each time were classified as “regular meditators” (RM); the others were non-regular meditators (NM). The two-way ANOVA was used for the data analysis and the results were as followed: 1, The SQ score of the subjects range from 0- 20; 53% of the subjects had good SQ (PSQI <5) and the other 47% subjects had bad SQ. The average PSQI was 5.76±2.94. 2, After meditation, 77.5% of the total subjects believed that their physical and mental conditions were improved; 70.5% of subjects felt the SQ improved. 3, No significant difference in global PSQI between PA, but LPA had better sleep efficiency (one factor) than that of HPA. 4, The global PSQI, subjective SQ, sleep latency, sleeping disturbances and daytime dysfunction of RM were better than those of NM.
People with regular meditation had better overall SQ, but PA didn't have much effect on the SQ of these meditation subjects.
