Nowadays society pursuing economic development has also caused a lot of environmental burdens. People have begun to seek a balance among the environment, economy, and society, and to pursue sustainable goals. In addition to examining their own behavior, they also pay attention to the impact of the companies on the environment. Nowadays, many companies try to minimize harmful industrial waste, they even benefit the environment, pay attention to pro-environmental performance, and towards sustainable development. But little documentation has been discussed regarding the motivation and relative factors of pro-environmental behavior of employees.
This study will be used one of the models of comprehensive action determination models (CADM) to explore the behaviors of employees in metropolitan cities of Taipei and New Taipei, add the impact of perceived organizational support on pro-environmental behaviors, and explore whether the pro-environmental behavior of company or organization has a positive effect. A total of 756 effective questionnaires were collected, and correlation analysis and regression analysis were carried out.
The results found a positive correlation between the factors and influencing pathways in the comprehensive action determination model. In Taipei and New Taipei cities, pro-environmental behaviors of employees are most affected by intentions, followed by habit, perceived behavioral control, and perceived organizational support which has a positive impact on pro-environmental behaviors. However, in contrast, the degree of influence is relatively small. The results of the findings of their motivation will be promoted pro-environmental behavior of employees in environmental education for their successful careers toward sustainability in the nearby future. By finding out the motivation, it could also be used as a reference in the future study of pro-environmental behavior.
