  • 本研究自2000年9月至2002年6月於霧社地區進行拉都希氏赤蛙族群生態的研究,包括其族群在不同季節的動態、生殖、與環境氣象因子的關係、出現在不同棲地的成蛙性別比及共棲蛙種等。
    我們以標記-再捕捉法,進行每月2-5次的調查,在研究期間共標記了690隻成蛙,其中雄蛙有504隻,雌蛙有186隻。其平均吻肛長(SVL),雄蛙為 44.1 mm,雌蛙為53.1 mm;雄蛙平均體重為6.9 g ,雌蛙為12.4 g 。重複再捕捉的130隻成蛙中,有118隻雄蛙,12隻雌蛙。估算每月之族群量約在60-380隻之間,以2001年4月及2001年12月最高。
    調查發現拉都希氏赤蛙在霧社地區一年中至少有10個月可進行生殖活動,而以每年的4-6月與9-12月為其主要生殖季節,在繁殖場所中發現的多為成蛙,而剛變態的幼蛙則多出現在每年的4-5月及9-10月。從再捕捉的雌蛙發現,觀察到有三隻拉都希氏赤蛙的母蛙一年可進入生殖場所兩次以上,顯示有些母蛙一年可能不只生殖一次,雄蛙則會多次進出生殖場所並停留較久的時間。在氣象因子中,調查日前四日累積雨量與成蛙的出現具有相關性(p < 0.001,r = 0.37),從不同棲地樣區的調查中發現,在繁殖場所(水池)的雌雄性比偏向雄性,且會因不同季節而有不同的雌雄性比;在非繁殖區則雌雄性比接近1,顯示雌雄的活動會因不同的棲地環境而有所差異。
    至於在繁殖池的共棲蛙種有白頷樹蛙、盤古蟾蜍、日本樹蛙、腹斑蛙、褐樹蛙、澤蛙等六種。

    From September 2000 through June 2002, we studied the population dynamics, breeding activities, environmental factors, amphibian community, and the sex ratio of Rana latouchii in Wushi Area (altitude 1147 m), Taiwan. By using mark-recaptured methods, we did survey 2-5 nights per month. Totally we marked 690 adult frogs, among them 504 were males, and 186 were females. The mean snout-vent length (SVL) was 44.1 mm in males, and 53.1 mm in females; the mean body weight was 6.9 g in males, and 12.4 g in females. A total of 130 individuals were recaptured more then once, 118 of which were males, and 12 were females. Estimated population sizes varied from 60 to 380 each month with the highest peak found in April and December of 2001.
    Breeding activities of Rana latouchii in Wushi Area were observed for 10 months a year. The major breeding seasons were in spring (April-June) and autumn (September-December) periods. At breeding site, most of frogs were adults, and post-metamorphosis juveniles were found in spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October). Based on recaptured individuals, some of females (N = 3) could enter breeding site twice a year, indicating that the females could breed more then once per year. While males could enter breeding sites several times a year. They all stay there longer than females.
    The breeding activities were related to the precipitation of the fourth days prior to studied date ( p < 0.001, r = 0.37 ). The operational sex ratio of Rana latouchii biased toward males at breeding site, while it varied with seasons. However, the overall sex ratio didn’t depart from 1:1 at non-breeding site.
    Six species of frogs, i.e. Bufo bankorensis, Rana limnocharis , Buergeria japonicus, Polypedates megacephalus, Rana adenopleura, Buergeria robusta, were discovered in the study area.
