波札一共寫作了八首小號獨奏的作品，包含《隨想曲》(Caprice, 1943)、《小協奏曲》(Concertino, 1949)、《玩笑》(Badinage, 1949)、《鄉村》(Rustiques, 1955)、《狂想曲》(Rhapsodie, 1957)、《佛里加利亞納》(Frigariana, 1967)、《歌曲》(Lied, 1976)、《第二號隨想曲》(Caprice No. 2, 1978)。除了小號之外，他也為其他的管樂器譜寫作品，在他的作品當中管樂作品佔了多數。 波札經常以動聽的旋律、一貫的節奏手法創作，也能夠恰如其分的展現樂器對於獨特音型的特殊表現能力，常常令人驚呼其手法的微妙。這首《鄉村》是他小號作品中常被演奏的曲子，除了有炫麗的裝飾奏來凸顯小號卓越的表現力，還有優美、動聽的旋律。當中也包含了他一貫的特色，如切分音節奏、華麗的快速音群、滑音以及花舌都可以使用的恰到好處。這首作品也考驗著演奏者對於各項艱難技巧的掌握以及對音樂的表現能力。因此筆者以此作品作為本篇論文的研究主題，希望提供一些演奏及練習上的心得，讓管樂演奏者能夠更深入的瞭解波札這位作曲家以及他的音樂風格。
