A procedure is to explore the influencing factors of middle-aged and elderly people’s use of the Internet to search for health information behaviors. This research is a cross-sectional related research design. Random distribution proportions are used for sampling in Taiwan, and data is collected through interviews with structured questionnaires. The study time was from July to December 2018. A total of 600 questionnaires were completed, and 558 valid questionnaires were completed. The data was analyzed by SSPS 22.0 statical software. The results demonstrated:
    1. The lower the age of this research objects, and the higher the scores of online social capital, Internet self-efficacy and eHEALS, the higher their online health information seeking behavior scores were significantly higher.
    2. The socio-demographic variables of this research objects are in term of education level, online experience, use of the Internet community, use of Internet instant messaging, Internet instant messaging access, and other variables, as well as online social capital, Internet self-efficacy, and eHEALS are all significant factors affecting their online health information seeking behavior.
According to the research results, when health educators provide Internet-related health promotion activites to middle-aged and elderly people, they should focus on their eHEALS and Internet self-efficacy to strengthen their ability to recognize Internet use and Internet health information. The community serves as a health information discussion and information exchange platform to enhance the ability of online health information search.
