本論文研究對象《給低音管獨奏的十六首華爾滋》,是由巴西作曲家弗朗西斯科・米紐內 (Francisco Mignone, 1897-1986) 所創作。他是二十世紀最重要的低音管作曲家之一,將巴西當時盛行的音樂「華爾滋」融合民族風格的元素,創作出一套共16首給低音管的獨奏作品。
獨奏曲是一種更能夠讓演奏家扮演各種音樂角色、展現樂器的音域與技巧的創作類型。此套作品以低音管為主角,融合二十世紀時的巴西音樂風格,是一個極具創意又亮眼的組合,筆者將對此樂曲深入探究。
本論文分為五個章節:第一章以作曲家米紐內的生平、低音管的作品以及創作背景為研究;第二章為華爾滋的介紹與特色;第三章為此樂曲的結構、動機概述以及樂曲風格;第四章著重分析曲式架構、和聲動機、演奏的詮釋以及當時巴西的盛行音樂風格對米紐內作品的影響;第五章為結論。
希望藉由本論文的分析,了解作曲家的創作背景、理念以及樂曲動機及風格的運用,使筆者對於此樂曲的演奏詮釋更佳的熟悉,也讓未來對於低音管獨奏曲以及巴西音樂有興趣的音樂家們有更多相關資料參考。
The subject of this thesis is “Sixteen Waltzes for Solo Bassoon” composed by Brazilian composer Francisco Mignone (1897-1986). Mignone is one of the most important bassoon composers of the twentieth century, known for integrating elements of the popular Brazilian music genre “waltz” with nationalistic elements to create a set of 16 solo bassoon pieces. Solo works are compositions that allow performers to embody various musical roles and showcase the range and technical capabilities of their instrument.
Solo pieces centered around the bassoon, blending twentieth-century Brazilian music styles, represent a highly creative and remarkable combination. In this thesis, the author will delve into the exploration of this musical composition.
The thesis is divided into five chapters: the first chapter explores the biography of composer Mignone, his bassoon works and the background of his compositions. The second chapter provides an introduction to waltzes and their characteristics. The third chapter offers an overview of the structure, motifs, and musical style of the compositions. The fourth chapter focuses on the analysis of the formal structure, harmonic motifs, interpretative aspects, and the influence of prevalent music styles in Brazil at the time on Mignone's compositions. The fifth chapter concludes the thesis.
Through the analysis presented in this thesis, the aim is to gain insight into the composer's background, artistic concepts, and the application of motifs and styles in the compositions. This will enable a better understanding of the performance interpretation of these musical works.
