This study aims to explore the effectiveness of integrating English pop songs into English teaching to improve high school students' English oral expressing skills. This study included students from a high school in Taipei, Taiwan as the research participants. After one semester of teaching English course with English pop songs as supplement teaching materials, students were asked to fill in questionnaires, supplemented with oral expression records, which were then analyzed through adopting the method of quantitative statistics on the questionnaires in order to understand whether English learning interest and expressing skills in oral communication of the students have improved due to the integration of English pop songs into the English course. The results of the study showed that incorporating popular English songs into English teaching materials did not improve students' interest in expressing skills, but it could improve students' expressing proficiency in oral communication, and at the same time, promote the overall effectiveness of oral communication.
