民國九十五年提出的高中數學課程暫行綱要將推論統計中的信賴區間單元列入在高二下的必修課程,在社會上引起不少討論,由於美國的統計教育發展已久,並且美國的NCTM在2000年所提出的學校數學的原則與標準(Principles and Standards for School Mathematics)也將推論統計列入課程。
因此本論文的研究目的在於:比較與分析台灣與美國教科書中信賴區間單元的教材內容,探討兩者的特色與特質,進而嘗試提出對目前信賴區間教材設計之建議。
本文採用概念圖與呈現分析表為分析工具。為增加效度,概念圖的繪製曾請教台灣與美國的統計教育專家。依據兩國之設計理念、教學目標、信賴區間單元的教材、單一概念的安排及概念間的銜接、問題情境等,歸納出兩國教科書突顯的特色,並列出值得台灣參考與學習之項目。研究結果建議台灣〈1〉加強信賴區間先備知識的鋪陳〈2〉改進教材的問題情境設計〈3〉評量應置入讓學生可實際操作與設計的活動。期盼本研究對於我國未來教科書之撰寫與數學綱要之修訂提供有益之參考。
