  • The study examines how people evaluate their career success after perceiving master degree. Higher Education plays an important role for the economic development in every country, which is one of the core works in the TaiwanICDF. To help allied and friendly nations develop their human resources in order to spur social and economic progress, TaiwanICDF developed many kinds of human resource development programs based on Taiwan’s own developmental experiences. The research results were listed as follows:
    1. The five types of career success orientations, including Getting High, Getting Secure, Getting Balanced, Getting Ahead, and Getting Free, were identified in TaiwanICDF graduates. Getting Ahead, Getting Balanced, and Getting High were relatively high, while Getting Free and Getting Secure were low.
    2. Differences by age were not found in the five types of career success orientations.
    3. Differences by gender were found in only Getting Free type of career success orientation. Males showed a higher mean score on Getting Free than females.
    4. Single respondents showed a higher mean score on Getting Free type of career success orientation than married respondents.
    5. Differences by personality were found in only Getting Free type of career success orientation.
    6. 93.2 percentage of respondents agreed that they received tangible benefit from the program and 61.4 percentage of respondents agreed that they got intangible benefit.
