本研究的目的在於探討國中一年級學生在接受生命教育教案~「我喜歡我自己」,融入現行健康教育教學中,對學生的自尊與健康教育之學業成就的影響效果。
本研究採「準實驗設計」的方法,立意取樣的方式以台北市某國中(A校)一年級三個班級的學生為實驗組(89人),鄰近學區的某國中(B校)一年級二個班級的學生為對照組(78人)。在教學介入前,兩組學生皆接受前測問卷,作為評量實驗效果的基準。實驗組接受為期兩週四個小時的生命教育教案~「我喜歡我自己」的教學,對照組則接受現行的健康教育課程。在教學結束兩週後,進行後測以評價教學的效果。所得資料以二因子變異數分析、卡方檢定、t檢定、Pearson 積差相關進行分析,並將學生教學回饋資料作質性分析。
本研究結果顯示:
1、研究者設計的教學介入對於提昇實驗組學生的自尊程度與健康教育學業成就影響顯著。
2、研究者設計的教學介入,發現對於男學生的自尊提昇較女生高;且對於自尊程度較低的學生之健康教育學業成就影響較顯著。
3、研究者發現教學介入過程中對於提昇學生了解自己、喜歡自己、欣賞別人與增進人際關係的能力培養,有所助益。
根據本研究的結果,可作為國中學生生命教育教學的參考,建議擴大開發多變化的生命教育融入性教案設計與研究對象;加入學生的焦點團體訪談或深入訪談,以期增加研究的深度與廣度。
The research is conducted to explore the effects of implementing the life education with the theme activity “I like myself “. It is aimed to investigate the influence on students’ self-esteem and academic performance for the Health Education class. The research method employed is Quasi-experimental design. Subjects in this study were 167 first-year students purposively selected from two junior high schools in Taipei, including an experimental group of 89 participants from three classes of school A and a control group of 78 students from two classes of school B. Prior to the study, both groups took a pre-test questionnaire as a criterion for the evaluation of the experiment. Students in the experimental group received the life education program for a two-week period of four hours whereas the control group had the current course. After the instruction had ended for two weeks, a post-test was administered, and data were analyzed by using two-factor analysis of variance, X2-test, t-test, Pearson’s product-moment correlation.
The following conclusions were drawn from the study:
1、 Students in the experimental group showed a marked improvement not only on their self-esteem but also on their academic performance for the Health Education.
2、 The findings of this study also indicated gender and individual differences: the implementation of the teaching program helps male students gain self-esteem more than female students; students who previously showed less self-esteem achieve more academic progress after the conduct of this research.
3、 The teaching program assisted the students in self-understanding, appreciating themselves and others, and developing social relationship.
Based on the results of this study, the researcher suggests that the junior high school curriculum include a wide variety of thematic life education programs. Moreover, it is suggested that further studies should be carried out in a large sample. Simultaneously, focus group interview and in-depth interview with the subjects should be included so that the study will be more meaningful and powerful.
