許常惠自民國四十八年(一九五九)回國迄今，以民族音樂學者、作曲者、
音樂教育工作者等多重身份活躍於台灣音樂界，直接或間接受其影響者繁
如星斗，致使台灣音樂發展日漸蓬勃。諸如二十世紀新音樂創作及欣賞的
提倡、民族音樂學研究的推動、海峽兩岸及亞太地區文化交流等。許常惠
和台灣近代音樂史的發展確實有極密切的關連，扮演著極為重要的角色。
故若欲研究台灣近代音樂史，從瞭解許常惠所推動的各項音樂活動中，便
能追尋出台灣音樂發展的軌跡。在許常惠以前，台灣也曾出現數位極傑出
的音樂家，如江文也、呂泉生、柯政和、陳泗治、張福星等人，可惜許多
珍貴資料當年未曾加以整理，以致亡佚，加上蒐羅匪易，如今只能從少部
份資料拼湊而得前人們在音樂上的供獻及成就。有鑑於此，近年來對於音
樂家研究態度轉為積極，有關許常惠研究的文章陸續出現，但截至目前為
止仍不脫離於局部探討，或訪談、或樂評、或書評，尚未有深入的綜合性
整體論述。故本文旨在建立較完整的許常惠年譜和許常惠著述目錄，以便
提供往後無論在台灣近代音樂史或是許常惠研究方面的研究者作為參考。
本文主要架構分為上卷年譜及下卷著述目錄。年譜記載的時間起自民國十
八年（１９２９）許常惠出生至民國八十四年（１９９５）六月完稿為止
。有關作品發表『音樂會』的載入，以首演、各人作品發表會、國外的演
出、大陸地區的演出、傑出樂人或特殊場合（如介壽館音樂會）的演奏為
原則，至於曾演奏許常惠作品的各項音樂比賽或其他為數眾多的音樂會，
為避免繁瑣，則不收入於年譜中。下卷『著述目錄』則依巴黎時期、台灣
師大及國立藝專任教時期、台灣師大音研所任教時期三部份，分成期刊和
專書二類。

Mr. Hsu Tsang-houei,not only a well-known folk musicolo- gist
and composer but also a music educator,has been popular in
Taiwan music field since he came back to Taiwan in 1959. He is
a key person in Taiwan to push this music field growing more
and more prosperous by impacting a lot music- ians directly or
indirectly.He promotes a lot of projects, such as the
appreciation of modern music in 20 century and the reaserch of
folk musicology,as well as the culture - exchange among two-
straits and Asia-Pacific areas. Mr. Hsu indeed plays a
significant role in connection with recent musicology in Taiwan.
Therefore,to reaserch the Taiwanese recent musicology ,you
could trace the development of Taiwanese music by studying all
the promotion he did. The main structures of this thesis are
catalogued into two parts.The first part is chronicle and the
second part is detail catalog.The period for the chronicle is
from 1929 when Mr.Hsu was born to June 1995.About his concerts
I mentioned in this thesis are based on some special occasions
such as his first performance or individual concert and
overseas concert.You can't find his past various contests or
insignificant concert in this thesis.The second part about this
thesis is divided into periodicals and books by three periods,
the Paris period when he was a student,and teaching in National
Taiwan Normal University and National Tiawan Art Academy,and
being a principal in the music department of N.T.N.U .
