本研究旨在探討高級中學校長領導型態、與學校氣氛與學校效能的關係;
其次比較分析校長人口變項類別,學校環境變項類別在校長領導型態、學
校氣氛與學校效能上的差異;並探討所有變項對學校效能的預測力。本研
究採問卷調查法及晤談法、觀察法,以自編之「高級中學學校狀況調查問
卷」施測。問卷包括高級中學校長領導行為描述問卷、高級中學學校氣氛
問卷及高級中學學校效能問卷三部份。受試包括台灣省47所公立高中( 未
含附設職業類科之高中 )的1175名教師,回收問卷914份,回收率77.79%
,可用問卷892份,可用率為75.91%。可用問卷經統計處理及質的訪談、
觀察結果,獲致以下結論:一、台灣省高級中學校長領導型態中,校長表
現高倡導高關懷領導型態的學校最有效能,校長表現低倡導低關懷領導型
態的學校效能最差。二、台灣省高級中學學校氣氛屬於開放型的學校比封
閉型的學校,其學校效能愈佳。三、在台灣省高級中學校長表現的四種領
導型態當中,開放型氣氛的學校,校長採取高倡導高關懷的領導型態較多
,封閉型氣氛的學校,校長採取低倡導低關懷的領導型態較多。不同的高
級中學校長領導型態與不同的學校氣氛有關聯。四、台灣省高級中學校長
領導型態,整体而言,以高倡導高關懷及低倡導低關懷的領導型態最多,
約各佔一半。五、台灣省高級中學學校氣氛,整体而言,學校氣氛趨向開
放型及封閉型的學校亦約各佔一半。六、台灣省高級中學學校效能整体而
言,教師感受到的學校效能高於平均數以上的學校,計有20所,低於於平
均數以下的學校計有27所。七、不同的校長人口變項類別,不論在領導型
態、學校氣氛與學校效能,均沒有顯著差異存在。八、不同的學校環境變
項類別,除創校歷史的長短在學校效能上有顯著差異外,其餘各環境變項
在領導型態、學校氣氛與學校效能,均沒有顯著差異存在。九、校長人口
變項( 性別、服務年資、教育背景 )、學校環境變項(班級數、創校歷史
)、校長領導型態( 倡導行為與關懷行為 )、學校氣氛等八種變項對學校
效能的預測力為57.84%。根據研究所得,本研究分別對教育行政機關,
高級中學校長及未來研究者提出建議。
A Study of the Relationships among the Senior High School
Principal's Leadership Style,School Climate,and School
Effectiveness The purpose of this research was to investigate
the possible interaction of the leadership style of senior high
school principals,school climate,and school effectiveness in
Taiwan Province. Three self-made instruments,(1)Senior High
School Princi- pal Leadership Behavior Questionnaire ,
(2)Senior High School Climate Description Questionnaire, and
(3) Senior High School Effectiveness Questionnaire,were mailed
to senior high school teachers. A sample of 892 senior high
school teachers from 47 senior high schools were used in the
study.Research data were aualysed using Two-Way ANOVA, X test,
and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results were as follows:
1.The ten school effectiveness indicators were formed.They are
planning and goals,curriculum and evaluation,teaching method
and quality,school environment and facilities , parent-school
relationship,teacher's job satisfaction, student's behavior,
student's learning outcomes , teacher-student relationship ,
and administrative communication and coordination. 2.The
school effectiveness of senior high schools with high
initiating structure and high consideration was significantly
better than that of those schools with low initiating struc-
ture and low consideration. 3.Schools with an open climate
exhibited greater school effec- tiveness than those with a
close climate. 4.Principal leadership style and school climate
were related . 5.No interaction's existed among principal
leadership style ,
