This study tried to explore the positive effect of dynamic capabilities on digital innovation, via the mediating role of digital transformation anxiety.
This research adopted questionnaire survey method to focus on companies within financial and insurance industries in Taiwan that "have continued to use digital transformation" or "will use digital transformation in the future." In total, 70 valid questionnaires were collected from financial and insurance companies. This study utilized IBM SPSS Statistics 23 and Smart PLS 3 to verify hypotheses. Results showed that dynamic capability has a significant positive effect on digital innovation, while other hypotheses are not supported. In addition, dynamic capability and digital innovation of large enterprises are higher than those small and medium-sized enterprises; enterprises that have used digital transformation have higher dynamic capability and digital innovation than those that have not used digital transformation; enterprises that have used digital transformation have lower digital transformation anxiety than those that have not used digital transformation. Therefore, anxiety will not affect the organization's dynamic capability and digital innovation, so managers should pay more attention to the organization's dynamic capability in the era of digital transformation. When companies have dynamic capabilities to learn and integrate new technologies, the performance of digital innovation can be increased.
