將高壓氣體由噴嘴(nozzle)噴入超高真空,由於絕熱膨脹氣體分子的溫度驟降而形成團簇,利用脈衝式雷射或電子鎗將團簇游離,然後再由飛行時間質譜儀(time-of-flight mass spectrometer)偵測團簇離子,由所得質譜中各種團簇離子的質量及強度分布,可推知團簇離子的穩定結構及解離過程。
本論文報導分成三部份,第一部份探討生成團簇離子的最佳實驗條件,第二部份描述ammonia及alkylamine(methy lamine, dimethylamine)團簇離子的研究,並報導所得的成果。第三部份報導benzene-ammonia, deuterated benzene-ammonia, toulene-ammonia等混合團簇離子的研究,且討論實驗結果。
Neutral clusters, produced via supersonic expansion, are subjected to multiphoton ionization by pulsed laser or electron impact ionization. The product cluster ions are investigated using a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The strong peak on mass spectra are related to particularly stable structures due to closely packings or special types of bondings. Based on the analysis of their ion intensity distributions, stable structure and dissociation process of cluster ions are deduced.
Three parts in this paper are reported. The first part describe optima experimental conditions for producing cluster ions. In second part the investigation on ammonia and alkylamine (methylamine, dimethylamine) cluster ions are presented. Studies of mixed cluster ions, including benzene-ammonia, deuterated benzene-ammonia, and toluene-ammonia are included in the third part.
