  • 本研究希望經由量測地表之磁力特性,來定位淺層考古遺址之可能位置。為測試方法之可行性,我們先在實驗地點預埋一由磚塊拼成之石棺模型,其頂部距地表約1公尺,以模擬台灣考古遺址的狀況。然後在地表以不同之高度測勘其磁力總值及梯度值,資料處理方法包括將磁力總值做一次及二次微分,得到其水平梯度值及水平梯度變化率,以及將垂直梯度值做一次微分,得到其變化率,以加強信號解析度。另一方面則用3-D信號加強法,描繪可分析信號深度二次微分之振幅,加強石棺之邊界效應。經由各種等值圖與已知之石棺模型位置比對,推測石棺在地表可能表現之磁力特性,並提出合適之測勘高度。野外實測案例選定埔里虎子山遺址附近之公園預定地為測區,所測得之磁力總值與梯度值資料,經過信號加強處理後,部分地區出現磁力異常,經過比對、鑽探及淺層開挖,將採集到之異常區土壤樣品以磁感率儀分析其絕對磁感率後,所得結果證實與周遭土壤之背景值確有差別。因此本研究方法對鑑定測區有無考古遺址極具可行性。
