在國際化的趨勢下,留學已成了普遍之現象,且成年人早期生涯發展是影響人一生中最重要的階段,因每個人於此階段正好面臨許多的生涯選擇。故本研究目的為瞭解研究對象的海外短期留學經驗及其現今生涯角色發展之狀況,並探討海外短期留學經驗在成年人早期生涯角色發展的影響為何。本研究採取質性研究的半結構式訪談進行資料蒐集。本研究採滾雪球抽樣策略,尋找八位符合條件且願意提供個人相關短期留學經驗的研究參與者。以目前年紀在25至30歲之間,並在臺就讀大學時期曾經赴海外短期留學至少一學期或以上的成年人為研究對象。本研究發現海外留學經驗的十個好處,即個人發展、視野的拓展、文化衝擊/差異、自信、獨立、語言能力、重新審視自己、工作技能、競爭力的提升及就業保障,對研究參與者皆有幫助,並進而影響到其日後的生涯角色發展;不同生涯角色之間在生命比重中的消長有所關聯,工作者與休閒者則會因個人對於兩者的想法而有比重分配上的差別;海外短期留學經驗在成年人早期的生涯角色發展及比重分配會產生影響。研究參與者的海外留學經驗在現階段生涯角色扮演的影響主要在工作者、學生及休閒者,而在這三者的比重分配亦會產生影響。
In the trend of internationalization, studying abroad has become a common phenomenon. The career development of young adulthood (YA) is the most important stage in a person's life, because everyone is faced with many career choices at this stage. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to understand the study subject's study abroad experience (SAE) and the current status of the development of life role (DLR), and to explore the influence of SAE on the DLR in YA. This research adopts semi-structured interviews of qualitative research to collect data. This study adopts snowball sampling to looking for eight participants who meet the requirements and are willing to provide personal relevant SAE. Adults who are currently between 25 and 30 years old and have studied abroad for at least one semester or more when they were studying in Taiwan. This study found ten benefits of SAE, namely personal development, expansion of horizons, cultural shock/difference, self-confidence, independence, language ability, the re-examination of oneself, improvement of work skills, competitiveness, and employment security, which are important for participants are helpful and will affect their future of the DLR; the growth and decline in the proportion of life between different life roles are related, and the role of employee and the role of leisurite will be assigned weights based on personal thoughts about the two; the SAE will have an impact on the DLR and the proportional distribution of the YA; The life role-playing is influenced by the participants’ SAE in YA is mainly on the role of employee, the role of student, and the role of leisurite, and the proportional distribution of them will also have an impact.
