  • 鳥類的二重唱是指配對的雌雄將彼此的鳴唱聲協調地結合的展示行為,這種具有時間精確性的行為可能扮演多種功能,且在不同鳥種間情形互異。近來許多研究結果顯示此種外表看似仰賴合作的行為,也可能源自雌雄的利益衝突。雌雄歌曲結合形成二重唱的結構隱含了雌雄個體的鳴唱策略,可某些程度用來解釋二重唱究竟是配偶間合作或是利益衝突的結果。本研究以對目標繁殖對錄音的方式,詳細描述小彎嘴畫眉的雌雄聲音曲目以及二重唱曲目。本種不論雌雄皆會使用5種主要的鳴叫聲,而雄鳥與雌鳥各自使用具性別專一性的音節,組合成具性別專一性的16種雄鳥歌曲型與5種雌鳥歌曲型。小彎嘴畫眉雄鳥的曲目大小為8.32首歌曲型,雄鳥曲目展現的鳴唱方式為重複模式,與多種二重唱鳥種的鳴唱方式相同。雌鳥的曲目大小為3.92首歌曲型,雌雄個體使用的所有歌曲型都可與配偶的歌曲結合形成具有時間精確性的二重唱歌曲型,根據雌雄歌曲型組合的差異共分類為37種二重唱歌曲型,每一繁殖對的二重唱曲目大小為14.28首。本種二重唱雌雄音節起始間隔的變異係數為37.08%,在二重唱鳥種中精確性不高。相較於雌鳥獨唱與二重唱,雄鳥獨唱是本種最常見的聲音活動。雄鳥比雌鳥更常領唱二重唱,雌鳥的所有歌曲中大多數都與雄鳥結合形成二重唱,甚少獨唱。當配偶主動發聲時,雄鳥比雌鳥更可能回應配偶的歌曲而形成二重唱。
