前言：近年來國內女子棒球運動興起，國際間各單項協會也思考著如何透過運動促進性別平等，因此女子棒球運動逐漸被受重視，國際棒球總會在2004年開始舉辦第一屆世界盃女子棒球錦標賽後，也拉開了國際女子棒球運動的序幕，而臺灣女棒近幾年在世界盃與亞洲盃等其他賽事中成績相當亮眼。目的：本研究目的主要在探討近幾年臺灣女子壘球選手參與棒球項目之動機，並作為往後推廣之參考。方法：本研究採質性研究半結構式訪談法，研究對象以年齡18至35歲的16名女子壘球選手參與過女子棒球國際賽賽事之選手進行訪談。研究結果:在轉換階段的主要動機為「師長引薦」，其次為「喜歡與興趣」；進入到選手階段，參與的動機主要為「享受運動樂趣」，其次為「強化運動技能」、「設定目標當國手」，再次為「外在酬賞」；最後至國家代表隊階段，主要的參與動機為「榮譽感」，其次為「成就感」、「自我超越」。而影響參與動機的因素，在轉換階段主要因素為「團隊吸引」，其次為「教練領導風格」、再次為「訓練模式與環境」、「家人意見與支持」；在選手階段主要影響因素為「團隊吸引」，其次為「訓練模式與環境」、再次為「教練領導風格」；在國家代表隊階段「團隊吸引」還是為最主要的影響因素，其次為「家人意見與支持」、再次為「訓練模式與環境」。

Introduction: In recent years, women's baseball has gained momentum in Taiwan, with international sports associations recognizing the potential of sports to promote gender equality. As a result, women's baseball has received increasing attention. The International Baseball Federation initiated the first Women's Baseball World Cup in 2004, marking the beginning of international women's baseball. Taiwan's women's baseball team has recently excelled in the World Cup and other events such as the Asian Cup. Objective: This study aims to investigate the motivations behind Taiwanese female softball players' participation in baseball over the past few years, providing insights for future promotion and development. Method: This study employed a qualitative research approach using semi-structured interviews. The subjects were 16 female softball players, aged 18 to 35, who had participated in international women's baseball competitions. Results: During the transition phase, the primary motivation was "recommendations from mentors," followed by "interest and passion." At the athlete stage, the main motivations were "enjoyment of the sport," "enhancing athletic skills," "setting goals to become a national player," and "external rewards." At the national team stage, the primary motivation was "a sense of honor," followed by "a sense of achievement" and "self-transcendence." The factors influencing participation motivation varied across different stages. During the transition phase, the main factors were "team attraction," followed by "coaching leadership style," "training methods and environment," and "family opinions and support." At the athlete stage, the primary factors were "team attraction," "training methods and environment," and "coaching leadership style." At the national team stage, "team attraction" remained the most significant factor, followed by "family opinions and support" and "training methods and environment."
