芬蘭學者 Vakkari 以芬蘭公共圖書館使用效益進行研究,研究結果為
公共圖書館對使用者所產生的使用效益,可分為教育、工作與職涯、日常 活動及休閒活動四大層面,因此本研究欲探討國內公共圖書館對讀者之效 益,是否會因讀者文化背景、認知等差異與 Vakkari 研究成果有所差異, 是否會因不同文化背景、生活習慣,使國內公共圖書館對讀者效益不單單 只有四大層面。
本研究以開放式卡片分類法(open sorting)、封閉式卡片分類法(Closed Card Sorting)進行受試,觀察給予受試者規範與沒有規範其差異為何,並根 據這兩項分類法得出人的認知會因自身背景而有所差異,認知差異也將造 就行為、目的之不同,因此不讀者使用公共圖書館之目的,以及公共圖書 館帶給讀者之效益,將隨不同背景有所影響。本研究共進行四次受試過 程,最終將國內公共圖書館帶給讀者效益之層面,分類為五大項目與十八 子項目,五大項目分別為教育、工作、日常生活、休閒活動與社會影響, 並將 Vakkari 與本研究兩種層面架構進行實測,來探討國內讀者較適用於何種分類架構。
Finnish scholar Vakkari conducted research on the use benefits of Finnish public
libraries. The research results are the use benefits of public libraries for users, which can be divided into four levels: education, work and career, daily activities and leisure activities. Therefore, this research is to explore the benefits of domestic public libraries to readers, whether there will be differences between the results of Vakkari's research due to differences in readers' cultural backgrounds and cognitions, and whether due to different cultural backgrounds and living habits, the benefits of domestic public libraries to readers are not only limited to Four levels.
In this study, subjects were tested by open sorting and closed card sorting, and the differences between subjects who were given normative and no normative methods were observed. The cognition of the public will be different due to its own background, and the cognitive difference will also create different behaviors and purposes. Therefore, the purpose of readers using public libraries and the benefits that public libraries bring to readers will vary with different backgrounds. A total of four trials were conducted in this research, and finally the level of benefit brought to readers by domestic public libraries was classified into five major projects and eighteen sub-projects. The five major projects were education, work, daily life, leisure activities and social impact. The two-level frameworks of Vakkari and this study are tested to explore which classification framework is more suitable for domestic readers.
