本研究的主要目的在探討「死亡教育團體方案」對國立台灣師範大學學生之
死亡態度及生命意義感影響。採「不等組控制前、後測實驗設計」,考驗實驗組
參與「死亡教育團體」後,其死亡態度與生命意義感是否與控制組有差異 ? 本
研究公開招募研究對象,共有30位受試者,隨機分配研究對象。實驗組12位,
接受歷時21小時,每週兩次,共四週的「死亡教育團體」 ; 控制組共18位,
不進行任何處理 (於研究結束後,參與死亡教育工作坊)。由研究者擔任 「死亡
教育團體」團體領導者。
本研究自變項為實驗處理,實驗組參加「死亡教育團體」,控制組未參加
「死亡教育團體」。依變項為受試者在死亡態度量表及在生命意義量表上的得
分,即其死亡態度與生命意義感。並以量表的前測分數為共變項,用單因子共變
數分析統計法,排除因前測得分不同而影響研究結果的差異,以驗證研究假設。
研究者並將團體歷程的逐字稿及團體過程回饋表,進行內容分析。量化研究結果
顯示:本「死亡教育團體方案」對師大學生死亡態度具有輔導效果,但對其生命
意義感無輔導效果。而內容分析結果顯示本方案對實驗組改變死亡態度及澄清其
生命意義有助益。
研究者並根據研究結果加以討論,且進一步提出本死亡教育團體方案在應
用上及未來研究上的建議。

The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of a death education intervention, experiential group, on death attitude and purpose in life in National Taiwan Normal University undergraduates. The study sought to determine whether participating in the program resulted in change in death attitude and awareness of purpose in life. A non-randomized pretest- posttest design was used with a treatment group and a control group. Thirty students participated in the study. They were randomly assigned to a treatment group and a control group. The treatment group (N = 12 ) participated in a experiential death education group, the program being designed by the researcher. It took them 21 hours (eight sessions) in four weeks to receive the death education program .The control group ( N = 18 ) received no treatment. The independent variable was the death education intervention. The dependent variables were death attitude , which was measured by the Death Attitude Scale, and awareness of purpose in life, which was measured by Purpose in life Test. Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA), with the pretest used as a covariate was used to test the hypotheses. The researcher also analyzed the contents obtained from the transcript of the eight group sessions and from members' group feedback sheets in the experimental group. The results : there is statistically significant difference of the scores on the posttest Death Attitude Scale between the treatment group and the control group. However, there is no statistically significant difference of the scores on the posttest Purpose in Life Test between the treatment group and the control group.The results suggest : the experiential death education group made Taiwan Normal University undergraduates reduce their fear of death, but couldn't increase their awareness of purpose in life. The results of the study and application of the program were discussed and suggestions for future research were proposed.
