  • 本研究分析1945~2007年西北太平洋地區秋季颱風活動的變化,經過11年滑動平均後,秋強颱具有明顯的年代際(Interdecadal)變化。比較非活躍期(1973~1982年)和活躍期(1987~1996年)的結果顯示,活躍期颱風生成個數較多,發展成強颱的比例也較高,秋強颱生成位置往東西方向延伸,平均生命史較非活躍期長。
    本文利用擾動能量的角度,將擾動能量形式分解成高頻率擾動(10天以下)和低頻率擾動(10~90天),推導高頻率擾動動能收支方程式,進而探討兩時期秋季熱帶氣旋和低頻擾動,以及熱帶氣旋和平均流之間的能量轉換。研究結果發現,活躍期海溫的增暖往東西方向延伸,低層大尺度氣旋式異常環流和西風異常,使綜觀尺度擾動和平均流之間的能量轉換(CKM)、低頻振盪與綜觀尺度擾動之間的能量轉換(CKW),以及擾動斜壓能量轉換都增強,有利於擾動的成長和颱風的生成。
    CKM項的訊號主要是在中、低層,和過往的研究所提到的情形相似,CKW項的訊號則主要是在高層,之前甚少有文獻探討。在中太平洋地區(5°~15°N,160°E~180°),不論活躍期還是非活躍期,主要的貢獻都來自於CKW項,而活躍期熱帶氣旋生成位置往東延伸,可能與高層CKW和低層CKM均增強有關。在西太平洋地區(5°~15°N,120°~140°E),CKW和CKM都比中太平洋的能量轉換來得大,兩者均非常重要。活躍期熱帶氣旋生成位置往西延伸,可能和此區的CKW向下延伸至中、低層有關。
