隨著電腦科技的不斷革新，多媒體電腦輔助教學軟體之發展也日新月異，然而多媒體科技雖已發展至成熟階段，但目前較常見的教學軟體多以遊戲、語言為主，在機械製圖教學上的應用，則仍屬少數，故而引發製作一套以ToolBook工具，結合文字、動畫、音效之多媒體做電腦輔助教學 (CAI)。
本研究除以描述性的研究方法探討目前CAI編製工具的發展概況，整理出各類多媒體編製軟體之優劣比較外，並經由分析、規劃、設計、製作、測試及修正等階段，進行研究設計，以設計出一電腦輔助教學軟體。其在製作上，包含（一）影像擷取與製作；（二）動畫之設計與製作；（三）文字、音效之編輯與製作等三部份，並提供裂作多媒體電腦輔助教學軟體之經驗、所遭遇之困難及應注意事項，期能作為未來對發展多媒體電腦輔助教學軟體有興趣者之參考。

By the successive innovation of the computer science, the development of computer-assisted instruction (CAI) software has been changed with each passing day. At the moment, the major courses of the common software are games and language, but it's rarely in engineering drawing. Therefore, it leaded to implement a computer-assisted instruction software which combined with text, animation, and audio under the environment of Asymetrix ToolBook.
The methods employed in this study were description to probe into the development of computer-assisted instruction authoring tools, and compared with each multimedia authoring tools, which was implemented by analyzing, programming, designing, implementing, and testing.
In this study, the computer-assisted instruction software comprised (1) image extracted and implemented; (2) animation designed and implemented; (3) text, audio authored and implemented three parts. And it provided the experience, difficulties, and the points for attention during implemented computer-assisted instruction software to anyone who interest on this domain in the feature.
